  • Welcome !

Hi. I'm Sara. Thanks for stopping by! This is where you will find my most recent work and some random tidbits of my personal life. Feel free to stalk as much as you want and don't forget to leave me some love!

Congratulations Kent & Kait!

On Sunday July 27, 2008 Kent & Kait (my sister-in-law) got engaged!! In a nutshell, it went something like this…they were sitting on a beach in Florida spending some time in worship together. Kent pulled out the contact case with the engagement ring inside and popped the question. She accepted and both of them went running into the ocean.

It was great because after they got engaged, we all met in Edisto for the annual Parker family beach vacation. This means that I got to take their engagement pictures on the beach!

Now, there are many reasons why I have posted an abnormal amount of pictures on this post…(1) They are family (2) They are the cutest couple ever (3) I couldn’t narrow down which ones to post (4) I figure I don’t have much on the blog yet, so why not??

Ok, here’s the other part of the story…a couple years ago, Kent bought Kait a Bible engraved with ‘Kaitlin Parker.’ He purposely left a space after ‘Parker’ to later insert ‘Suits.’ Clever guy! So, on the beach that day right before he proposed, he gave her the Bible with her new name! The back of the Bible says ‘I Love You.’

I was especially very touched by this because my husband proposed to me by giving me a Bible with my new name:)

Love & Rainbows:)
Gotta have lovey feet pictures!

That’s right, Showing off the bling.

This is how they were when he proposed.

One of the best scriptures on which to build a marriage.
And there’s me in action. My other sister-in-law (Anna) came along for the shoot and took pictures of me taking pictures of them. Thanks Anna!
Congrats guys! I pray that God will bless you in unimaginable ways! Love you!

Ru - Sparky, you did such a good job on these!! I love that I’ll have two extremely talented photographers to do all of my pictures (pre-engagement, engagement, wedding, anniversary, pre-baby, baby, holiday… I want LOTS of pictures) someday! :-) Love you and I pray that God will keep blessing you with such amazing talent!

Weekend at the Lake

A couples weekends ago, my husband and I went to Lake Rabun (in Georgia) to see my family. We brought our dog (Oliver) and all of us met at my dad’s mountain house. The whole weekend was an absolute blast! It’s always great to see family, especially if you don’t get to see them much. This is Oliver. He is our 5 month old weimaraner.
This is Brandon (my second cousin).
This is Paul (my 7 year old nephew)
My other nephew (5 yrs), Charlie, with my stepmom (“Gammy”)
Cheez-it BreathHe looks so sad! Probably because we had just forced him to swim after dressing him up in his new life jacket and sunglasses (see below).

Charlie deep in thoughts

This is what I am talking about. My stepmom is responsible for this. We put the sunglasses on him and he sat there with an embarrassed look like “really? I can’t believe you are doing this to me”…and then he proceeded to dig his head into the seat in an attempt to get the glasses off.

Paul

This is my 96 year old grandmother. She is the sweetest person I have ever met in my life. I am proud to be named after her!

Charlie

Brandon
My husband (Wes) and Paul. They had so much fun together jumping and swinging off of 15 foot objects (see below).
Charlie and “Gammy”

Oliver
Brandon, the cookie monster
My dad taught me and my three older brothers how to ski at very young ages (well, by the time I came along, my dad AND brothers taught me to ski). It is so fun now to ski together and critique each other. This is my middle older brother Paul.
My brother Paul is now teaching his 7 year old son to ski. These are his little training skis (precious!). Hopefully this will be a family tradition for all of us:)

Charlie loves his “Gammy”

Oliver…hiding from (a) my nephews, (b) anyone who might throw him in the water, or (c) the sun.
Random man kayaking…although he looks like my dad from the back. I call him “Snow White” because you can spot that white hair in a large crowd of people. It helps me keep track of him;)
My dad’s house has tons of hummingbirds due to the multiple feeders my stepmom has strategically placed. Those suckers are FAST…it was hard to get a good shot with the equipment I had.
